The installation of this artwork would comprise two computers situated next to each other on the gallery floor, connected to each other via an audio cable. One of the computers would be running a Text to Speech application on an excerpt of an English translation of Proust's A la Recherche du Temps Perdu. The spoken text would be transmitted to the other computer via the audio cable. This second computer would then interpret this output via a Speech Recognition program. At the end of each iteration the computers would switch roles with one another, reading and interpreting the previosly transmitted/translated material. This process would be sustained throughout the duration of the exhibition.
